Thanksgiving

We had a nice Thanksgiving day. We ate our huge meal in our basement. I'm very thankful that we have that. It's such a nice place to have parties. Anyway all the food was great and as always it's nice to visit with family and have them all together. It happened to be Shay's birthday, so we had birthday pie, AND birthday cake. The best of both worlds. Shay is Maria's husband in case you didn't know. I baked an apple pie, and thanks to Jenny Chamberlain's blog, had the courage to try a lattice top. It was easier than I thought, but I think the consistency of my pie dough was not quite right. Oh well, it turned out pretty good, because I had a slice. Thanks to Carolyn, Rich, Melissa, Maria, and myself for making our food. Also thanks to Kevin for helping me set up and watching Hattie while I did my thing. So today I get to go down and clean up the odds and ends which shouldn't take too long. Have a nice weekend.

Sleep in your own bed child. Please

Is it just a phase? Is it because she is teething? Is it because I am too lazy to take her back to her own bed and now she is use to it? Is it because she needs to be with me smothering either myself or Kevin while she sleeps? Whatever it is, I am frustrated NOW, at this very moment in time. I don't think I can stand her crying herself to sleep because she starts coughing and gagging herself. Do I wait until she is older to fight this battle? Maybe I'll just sleep on the couch until I can handle going back to bed without hurting my child.
